Our latest Vintage post gathers up a number of old player and team images spanning three decades of the Greek game. The game there developed rapidly from footballing backwater to competitive nation at European level over these years, that progress most prominently demonstrated by the appearance of Panathinaikos in the 1971 European Cup Final.

Several of these images capture the highly antagonistic and squabbling nature of Greek football in these early years.
