I’ve always harboured a deep fascination about all aspects of life and particularly football in the old German Democratic Republic. One of my favourite blogs on this subject is the excellent GDR Objectified run by the Canadian based writer Jean-Paul Kleiner and I’m delighted to announce that I’ll be reproducing a selection of his football themed posts on BTLM in the coming months.
Jean-Paul has assembled a wonderful collection of footballing beer glasses, each representing one of the top 25 clubs in East German Oberliga history in terms of League points won.
