We’ll be running a regular series of picture posts on BTLM under the Vintage header; a collection of distinctive photos, sketches and illustrations from the UK and beyond featuring players and teams from the second half of the twentieth century. We’re starting this series in Ireland – both north and south – with team-shots of the four clubs who claimed the League and Cup honours for the 1966-67 season.
Kits were great in the 1960s the world over and not just in style centres like Milan or Madrid. BTLM loves the West German national team minimalism of the Dundalk strip and Glentoran’s distinctive colours on a hooped jersey make a great combination.
