A second Sunderland Vintage post today featuring images of some of Sunderland’s key players from the 1960s. The club gained promotion back to Division One in 1964 and would stay up this time for 5 seasons, the beginning of the pattern that established them as the yo-yo club they remain to this day.

There’s some star names featured in this gallery, although players like Brian Clough and Jim Baxter had made their names elsewhere and were well past their best by the time they wound up at Roker Park.
