Cian Manning is a native of Waterford city and was educated at the local Mount Sion Primary & Secondary schools. He later studied at University College Cork obtaining a BA & MA.
Cian has been a contributor to a number of publications from the match day programmes of League of Ireland soccer clubs Cork City & Cobh Ramblers, Pog Mo Goal blog and magazine, Football Pink, Football Weekends, Ireland's Own and the Waterford News & Star Christmas supplement.
Recently he contributed a chapter on Waterford City to the successful publication entitled 'The Towns & Villages of the Waterford Greenway' (2018). Cian previously served as the editor of the Waterford Archaeological & Historical Society journal 'Decies' from 2016 to 2018.
