The second part of our Feyenoord 1970 Vintage post takes up the photostory as the newly crowned champions of Europe arrive home from Milan with the cup and ready themselves to celebrate with their fellow Rotterdammers.

At the airport, along the motorways and congregating in the heart of the city: every conceivable vantage point is claimed as hundreds of thousands of people turn out to see the trophy and acclaim their heroes. With the massed ranks of fans packed in as far as the eye can see in any direction, the sheer human scale captured in these images is breathtaking.
